TERPSITHEA PAPANIKOLAOU

CHAIR

Terpsithea Papanikolaou is a final year law student in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been participating in EU, UN and regional organizations’ simulations since 2017, both as a delegate and a board member. She is passionate about her studies and has a special interest in international relations and foreign languages. Her leisure time activities include reading, writing articles, travelling and volunteering. She is more than thrilled to welcome you all in this year’s “Students as Diplomats” and promises you that it is going to be an amazing experience, both on an academic and personal level.

PAVLOS VAENAS

Vice chair

Pavlos Vaenas is 19 years old and he comes from Kastoria. He is curently living in Thessaloniki, where he pursues his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He gained his first MUN experience at the age of 15 and he has participated in several simulations, including both UN as well as EU Institutions, ever since. International law and diplomacy constitute some of his primary academic interests, whereas he also speaks three foreign languages (English, French and German).  This year’s conference will be his first chairing experience and, thus, he is passionately looking forward to it.

ELIZABETH GLAVINIS

CHAIR

My name is Elizabeth and I have the honor to serve as the Chair of this Committee. I am a Law Student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and I particularly enjoy studying International Law and Human Rights Law. I am quite fond of debating and really passionate about issues of international importance such as the ones we shall discuss this year. My interests involve kick boxing, dancing and learning foreign languages. I love meeting people from different countries, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I hope you enjoy this year’s session as its uniqueness lies in its multicultural character and its multidimensional agenda of topics of discussion.

ZOE PAPAKYRITSI

vICE CHAIR

Zoe Papakyritsi was born and raised in Volos. She is 20 years old and actually on the 3rd year of her studies in the faculty of Law in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has always been an artistic person, dancing, singing and playing music. She speaks English, French and actually learning Spanish. Since the first of her studies she discovered her interest for international relations and affairs, which in fact consisted a motivation to start participating in Model United Nations conferences and writing articles concerning the global community. The fact that she is also an active volunteer working with teenagers has made her truly believe in their power and ideas and for that reason she decided to take part in this conference, for the first time as a board member. Her dream is to stand for the protection human rights.
